The Black Bear Manor may be rented for special occasions.  Minimum  cost is $200 House set-up fee which includes placemats, plates, cups, napkins, etc.  All food must be prepared off site by a catering company. Use of kitchen not permitted.


**SHOWERS & LUNCHEONS-Invite up to 20 people for a relaxing up-scale bridal or baby shower.  Get two or three friends to help host the event!  Choose a luncheon event 11:30am-2p or an evening event 7-9.

**BUSINESS RETREATS OR OFFICE STAFF-Retreat to our facility for a quite, relaxing get-a-way.  No phones, no interruptions.  Get the creative juices flowing!  A great way to reward your employees and chart your company’s course for the future. Food, beverages and snacks available.

 **GIRL FRIEND GET-A-WAY-Get your friends together for a long weekend (or weekdays) of scrap booking, quilting, sewing, painting, antiquing, spa treatment or just hanging out!    Call or e-mail for price quotes to plan your special time away.

We hear many different reasons that couples would prefer to hold their ceremony at The Black Bear Manor.  Sometimes a spiritual, instead of a religious, ceremony is more comfortable. Sometimes it's a second commitment for one or both. And often, all the hectic planning and cost for a large event is just "too stressful" for the most romantic day of their lives.

Whatever your reason, our wedding packages can be individualized to meet your vision when you come to The Black Bear Manor for your San Juan Mountain Wedding or special event.

The Manor can easily host up to 20 people in the winter and more during the summer.

In addition to ceremonies, the Black Bear Manor is an ideal setting for other types of gatherings, such as anniversaries, holiday parties, small receptions, and meetings. We will work with you to develop individual packages tailored to meet your needs.

Your Basic Wedding Package Includes...

    • Accomodations for six people in any of our select or standard rooms. (3 rooms include breakfast daily, complimentary wine reception & chocolate truffles. Suites are available for an additional charge.)
    • Use of the B&B for the ceremony and reception
    • Cake, coffee, punch and champagne or wine
    • Total Cost Oct 1- May 15th $1,250.00  (a small cost increase per guest for more than 6 guests)
    • Total Cost May 16- Sept 30 $1,500.00 (a small cost increase per guest for more then 6 guests)
    • Flowers, officiant, catered food, and music are available for an additional charge

So, invite your guests and enjoy the day!

Summer Events are held in the garden and deck area. Cake and beverages are served following the ceremony on the deck. The Manor will help you organize additional catering as needed.

Winter Events are held before the living room fireplace. Cake and beverages are served in the dining room following the ceremony. The honored couple will enter the room via the decorated staircase. Of course, the Manor will help you organize additional catering if desired.
