Black Bear Manor
-By Gene Vilfordi
If your body's really weary
Cause you've been riding on the rims
You need to go to Ouray
Dial up Phil and Lucie Mims
Some would call it magic
But I would call it grace
Their warmth and hospitality
Create a heavenly place
Their rooms are bright -- the air is fresh
Lucie's cooking is divine
And when you taste her breakfasts
Your spirits rise and shine
From coast to coast we've traveled
We've crossed the mighty seas
We've never found two nicer folks
Who work so hard to please
Let me add -- if you please -- and you walk on wobbly knees
And you're searching for a rememdy to try
While it's somewhat problematic
She might cure your old sciatic
With her tasty, most delicious, apple pie
There's one more added thrill
Some would say -- canine goodwill
From a furry pooch named Smudge
You will find her downright chummy
When she lets you rub her tummy
And from her back she'll hardly ever budge
So -- doctor, lawyer, Indian chief
Computer geek or tanner
You gotta go to Ouray
And stay at Black Bear Manor
