The winter season brings out many kinds of active people.
Ouray offers world class skiing in Telluride and extreme skiing in nearby
Silverton. In between, you can snowshoe, cross country ski, snowmobile,
or watch the ice climbers at the renowned Ouray ice park. Climbing lessons
are also available. Now, these are for the outdoor, very active souls.
If that is not you, and you'd rather just relax in the natural Hot
Springs pools with temperatures ranging up to 104°F, while the
snow falls upon you head, bring it on.

blooded, and easily chilled outdoors? You can enjoy the 270° mountain
peak views from the 3rd floor library/observatory of Black Bear Manor,
while sipping your favorite drink and reading a good book. We shelve all
